The phoenix is a mythical bird that is associated with the sun and is known for its # ability to be reborn from its ashes, symbolizing immortality and renewal. Its analogues are present in cultures such as Egyptian and Persian, and is part of Greek mythology. The phoenix obtains new life by rising from the ashes of its predecessor. Some legends say it dies in a show of flames and combustion, others that it simply dies and decomposes before being born again.




The phrase "rise like a phoenix from the ashes" bears it origin from this myth.
